Contracts Administrator

ASCEND is seeking a commercially astute Contracts Administrator for a position based in our Brisbane office, reporting to the Eastern Region Supervisor.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Oversee and administer the contracts on multiple projects – some travel will be required
  • Ensuring compliance with contract requirements, deliverables and notice periods
  • Monitor the Project Controls functions on multiple projects including Planning, Estimating, progress reporting and productivity performance
  • Organising, compiling and submitting claims for variations, and extensions of time
  • Building and maintaining client relationships
  • Organising, compiling and submitting progress claims
  • Reviewing and monitoring construction schedules in accordance with contract milestones

 

The successful candidates are required to have:

 

  • Extensive experience working within a Contracts Administration position on heavy industrial construction projects preferably with a construction contractor
  • A complete understanding and application of contract administration principles
  • The ability to read and interpret contract documents and technical specifications
  • A thorough understanding on scheduling and planning
  • The ability to make contract related recommendations and decisions to achieve objectives
  • A Bachelor of Construction Management and Quantity Surveying or Bachelor of Construction Law is desirable
